Fired Earth tiles ... and all the stuff they try to flog with them. Do I need it?

Fired Earth has some lovely tiles that I can't find anywhere else. However along with the tiles have been advised to buy SLINER tape, fleximat plus, bonding agent, flexibond, grout, tile adhesive, stain stop and and easy care cleaner!! In the real world what do you usually use to place china-type tiles on a wall. Grout?

we bought some hand made mexican tiles and dh put those on with tile adhesive but he said it does depend what you are sticking them to if its something like plasterboard then the fleximat is a good idea
