Can DD sell her fake Louis Vuitton bag?

A couple of years ago DD did, buy her own admission, a daft thing.
She bought, via Instagram, a fake LV bag. As soon as DH and I found out, we tried to get the purchase cancelled but, understandably, the seller refused to offer a refund. DD has never used the bag.

She'd like to sell it if possible but I'm really not sure that she can. Quite how the seller was allowed to sell it on Instagram surprises me but hey, what do I know?
I've had a look on Ebay but the bags on there all do look genuine.

Any ideas gratefully received. TIA

Fake ones will be removed if she mentions the actual designer name at all. She can describe it as a bag.

MrsPerfect12 · 21/07/2022 20:24

She just needs to say it's a LV imitation in the description. If she paid several 100£ then it's grade a

Serpicoo · 21/07/2022 20:26

Just say it's a fake, a copy and sell on Vinted.

seaUrchinOne · 21/07/2022 20:26

It's illegal to sell fake goods, the sellers you bought from probably had a fake company/name so hard to trace.

I wouldn't buy designer brands on eBay, Amazon or any social media, the only way to guarantee it's the real deal is paying full price from the official website.

JimmiChoux · 21/07/2022 20:28

May I ask how much your daughter paid for the bag?

TeachesOfPeaches · 21/07/2022 20:34

Why hasn't she ever used it?

whereamu · 21/07/2022 20:36

I'd be interested in this too.
I've tried to sell genuine branded clothes on Facebook local selling sites and had them blocked!
Do I just not mention the brand - even though they are real?

tricolore · 21/07/2022 20:39

Thanks for the replies.

DD knew she was buying a fake so that wasn’t the problem for her.

I can’t remember how much it was Jimmichoux and DD isn’t here to ask. She’s hopefully tried to erase it from her memory anyway, like I have 🙄

Why hasnt she used it?

I bought a fake LV bag on holiday, lasted years as was really good quality! Not the real thing but a fraction of the cost.

Lalalaleeloo · 21/07/2022 20:41

Why hasn't she used it?

Bunty55 · 21/07/2022 20:41

She does not need to advertise it as anything but a fashion bag. The photos will do the rest and then it is up to you to say it is not a real LV to the potential buyer

Toottooot · 21/07/2022 20:42

Please post a photo of said bag.

Grumpybutfunny · 21/07/2022 20:48

I wanna see this bag! If it a decent copy try Facebook or vinted.

takeitandleaveit · 21/07/2022 21:03

I bought a fake LV purse about 30-odd years ago from some little stall in Paris. Not knowing anything about designer stuff, I just liked it. Years later, someone said 'OMG where did you get that? It must have cost a fortune.' Nope, it was about the equivalent of £3.
