Hi so I’m 24 weeks pregnant and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
I’ve got swelling in my hands face and feet but no protein in my urine and BP is okay only high when in clinical settings because of anxiety.
could this be preeclampsia or is this just me being paranoid 😫

Definitely seek medical advice straight away - I seem to remember swelling hands in pregnancy is not good.

Definitely call maternity assessment.

Pre-e can develop fast and best to be safe than sorry.

I did have a hospital appointment yesterday in which I told the doctor about it, she checked my urine and come back all good and nothing more got said about it

I'm in the same boat. 30 weeks and have so much swelling in my feet and ankles 😫 my fingers also get bad if I've been walking around loads. I got checked by the midwife last week and had high blood pressure too so they did blood test for pre-eclampsia and I don't have it thankfully.

Midwife just said to keep my feet elevated as much as I can. Just have to put up with it for 10 more weeks.

Get checked today - ring maternity unit. They should do urine sample as well as blood pressure and general examination.

I was at the hospital yesterday, they did do my urine sample and blood pressure, my urine was absolutely fine nothing wrong with it

If there is a change since yesterday, you should get assessed though - speak to someone from the maternity unit.

It's best to speak to your midwife but I remember my ankles swelling up ridiculously when we had a bit of hot weather. It could well be down to the current heatwave but it is best to get proper medical advice.

I would persist on getting checked thoroughly. I had all the symptoms of pre eclampsia except protein in my urine, for weeks. I had swelling, pain in my abdomen, stars in my vision and headaches. It wasn't until my BP shot up at 36 weeks that I was induced there and then. I developed severe pre eclampsia and almost turned into eclampsia, as well as HELLP syndrome. Very scary. I wish they had just done a blood test then they would have detected it sooner. I would definitely go back and ask them to check again.
