I was walking back with my DD from nursery and this woman passed me on a bicycle, and I glanced at her as she went past.

She looked at me and shouted - what you looking at? So I carried on ignoring her and she said - yes you fatty!

SO HUMILIATED! I am not even that fat! Size 14/16. Must diet more

Jenni, if it's any consolation, being thin isn't any protection against rude cows either.

I'm a size 8, and I've had some HORRIBLY rude comments about my body shape - one from a complete stranger while I was getting into a swimming costume in a pool changing rooms, ffs (when you're fairly self-conscious about your figure anyway).

Pisses me off feeling I have to apologise for my natural body shape, so I can really empathise for how utterly crap it feels.

People are so completely rude sometimes. A few years ago I had to wear a neck brace for 3 weeks. It was unbelievable what people said!! Many complete strangers wanted to know what happened, some out of morbid curiousity, some with a leer as if it might have something to do with sex, and one even said "Hey, I bet I could fix your neck for you" with a revolting smile.

Looking surprised and looking down at myself , shouting "Oh my god you're right ... I'm FAT!!! - how the F**K did that happen, you've got to help me pleeeeaaaassseeee" shuts them up and usually scares the shit out of 'em.

why are some people so rude. i am a size 20-22 but also very witty so when anybody dares to mention my size i always have a very witty response, one was and if i looked like u i would have sued my parents usually they either smile and say sorry or go very red and slope off.

jane313 · 25/11/2004 22:11

it constantly amazes me how rude people are. I had a freind who had bone cancer and a leg amputuated when she was 10. And the abuse she got! What could be going through there minds?

alexsmum · 25/11/2004 22:14

something like this happened to me yesterday.I had just got to the kerb and was waiting to cross. The road was coming out of a supermarket and so slow moving.I wasn't in a rush and I wasn't watching the road as I was talking to ds.Someone beeped, and I looked up to see them gesturing to me to cross, so I did. When i reached the other side the bloke driving shouted'...bitch!' Totally shocked I turned round and he flipped me the finger!!!!!
he didn't have to stop, if he was in a rush why not just keep driving? it wasn't a zebra crossing or anything and I had literally been standing there 30 secs or so.What was going through his mind? Mental!!!
I was pushing a pram and was accompanied by a four year old.!

Jennisaurus · 25/11/2004 22:19

Thanks for the encouraging messages! I didn't say anything because I had my one year old with me and I did not want to risk any further confrontation.

I am still a bit shocked to be honest, especially as I have recently lost 3 stone. God knows what she would have called me before that

doziduck · 28/11/2004 11:49

What an absoloute cow
There are some real tw**ts out there. The other day a fella came up behind me in the supermarket and in a really nasty way said 'huh, standing talking in the aisle' I was a bit shocked, hadn't been aware i was in anybodies way, in fact i had been trying my best to make sure i wasn't!
Then as i came out the supermarket and stood waiting to cross at the pelican crossing i feel this dig in my back, as i turn round this real chav of a girl (sorry) says 'go on go on it's o green' grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
