Pony rides for school summer fairs - anyone know......

where I could find out a decent company that would hire some ponies that could be ridden by the children during the day on the school field? Leeds area.

I think you might want to find out about insurance first Helsi. One of the reasons why horse-riding is so expensive is because of the insurance costs involved. And most places also have a minimum age requirement. Not saying you shouldn't do it, but just that it might work out prohibitively expensive.

There's a list of local riding schools here. They might not do it, but might have an idea of someone who would.

Alternatively (not sure how old the children are you're talking about) have you thought of donkeys, e.g. here?

I know they do pony rides at Ponderosa (in Heckmondwike). I don't know if they hire the ponies out, but you could ask...
