lol

i do know someone else who swapped and afaik he had no problems

zippitippitoes · 24/01/2007 12:41

that is why i think I have one, but it looks like a tlephone one to me!

there is one with a symbol like a phone and then one next to it which looks the same but with a slightly different symbol next to it..i thought it didn't look wider

I think the plugs mean you have a sustem using the circuitry in your house..

I like shiny i have anew monitor which is lovely here and looks for great for dvds and you can work with two windows side by side

it looks even nicer in the flesh and is so light you can pick it up in one hand!

I have BT wireless and its crap, always disconnecting and we have to reset the box each time. We have all the filters and still when the phone is in use the internet goes off. I will be changing compancy when my 12 month contract finishes in aug.

teecee · 24/01/2007 13:10

We have it and it's great. No lead req, can plug in lap top whereever we are, ne er had a ny problems with it, and wouldn't go back to wires now.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 24/01/2007 13:13

Did have it for oohh 2 days and it never worked, got angry with it and returned it to shop. It put our connection to broadband out for 4 weeks too.

zippitippitoes · 24/01/2007 13:16

once we have the router/modem gizmo it will hopefully be wireless but it will still be the same connection via tiscali..so isn't that true if you have BT wireless broadband..it is the box whioch makes it wireless so it shouldn't make a difference on what comes in via the bt line..should it?

SparklyGothKat · 24/01/2007 13:20

The BT wireless I have is plugged into the phone line, I had to put filters on it, so the phone and internet would work side by side but it doesn't.

Paddlechick666 · 24/01/2007 13:35

sparkly have you got filters on all your bt extenstions? if you don't that can cause interference.

sorry if i'm telling you something you've already tried.

am sure BT have been really helpful!

lou33 · 24/01/2007 14:01

lol i hate bt

they were charging me 26 quid a month for broadband, an old price as we are an old customer, and had refuse in the past to lower the price to that of new customers

when i called them to say i was going to orange they started asking if i would stay if they lowered the price, so i told them i had already asked before and they had refused, so i was off.

salesperson was a bit taken aback that i had been refused, but too late now.

SparklyGothKat · 24/01/2007 15:47

I only have one phone extention, bloodly builders didn't connect ONE wire in the extentions upstairs so have no phoneline up there.

zippitippitoes · 25/01/2007 17:33

despite me trying to make hard work of it it connected fine and then i started on security and again couldn't make out how to get back in with the laptop but then did

only hitch the blkue screen of death on my pc, hopefully that was a wobbnle and not an ongoing thing

i have enabled wap but nothing else..is that enough?

I've left the pc with the ethernet connection.. so it will have to be on the moment?

if i disconnect that then i log in with the wap encryption it should then be completely wireless?
