I've not got access to a scanner, do Boots or Jacobs etc. have this facility? If so, is it expensive?

Jessops do photo restoration from prints - they may be able to do a bulk scan of prints. There are lots of places on the internet where you can post your photos (just google 'scan old photographs service', or you might try an independent photography shop, who are likely to be more flexible about what they do.

Hey guys...you can buy a scanner for £100. It's super easy to scan photos yourself. Then send them to be printed at one of the online services. And in the end you will save yourself a lot of money!!!!
