What are your son's all time favourite films??

Try not to watch too much tv etc, but always good to watch a dvd every now and then!!!

My son is a bit strange to say the least and will only really watch sth that he is really interested in, otherwise you can forget it.

So favourites in our house are Cars, Toy Story 1 and 2, erm.........and that's it.

Out of all the ones we've bought, that's it, they are the only 3 he will entertain .

So what are the favourites in your house.

Anything age 4/5/6/?????

Elphaba · 12/01/2008 15:35

We have loads of Disney DVDs but my 3 boys (6, 5 and 3) adore 'Cars' and almost always choose this if given the option (especially ds2 who is 5).

Other favourites would be Wallace and Grommit films, Monsters Inc, Toy Story and Shrek.

They also quite like the Winnie the Pooh films like Tigger Movie and Piglet's Big Adventure!!

Ds1 who is 6 is getting more into watching other stuff - he is the only one who sat through Jungle Book last night (which I put on out of desperation - 'plllleeeease just sit quietly for an hour!!!'). He also watches non-cartoon type films - he's watched The Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, Spy something that was on at Christmas.

Elphaba · 12/01/2008 15:37

Actually, ds2, who is 5, also really liked High School Musical!

JingleyJen · 12/01/2008 15:40

Wallace and Grommit adventures always go down well here as well!
Monsters inc, toy story (1&2), Shrek (1&2), Nemo. Incredibles, Lady & the Tramp, Jungle book, Tigger movie, Winnie the Pooh Christmas story.

He also loves Dangermouse.

1066andallthat · 12/01/2008 16:05

The first film, at the cinema, that DS1 managed was Madagscar and DS2 has just sat through (well, a bit of standing at the end) Noah's Arc.

At home, Peter Pan is a big favourite, as are Shrek, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Antz, and Cinderella. Sadly, Pokemon, Transformers and Power Rangers have just made their impact - avoid, if at all possible .

Buda · 12/01/2008 16:08

Star Wars. All 6 of them.

He is 6.

Curlygirly · 12/01/2008 16:28

Ds1 is 5 and loves On the Buses films! He's a bit obsessed by them and right this minute is watching a black & white DVD of the On the Buses series!

psychomum5 · 12/01/2008 16:30

my boys (7 & 5) like.....

toys story 1 & 2
high school musical (but they have 3 older sisters, so may only be thro them)

sky high (a film about a school for children of super heroes!)
the raaaagh films (dinosaur films)
sponge bob
cody banks
spy kids trilogy
shrek trilogy

My dd is 6 - nearly 7.

For watching on his own he loves Cars, Toy Story and Aladdin.

However we have what we call Movie Nights, when we all watch a film together and eat pizza and our all time favourites are The Italian Job (original Michael Caine version) School of Rock and Time Bandits. We've also enjoyed Storm Boy, Jumanji, Thunderbirds, Splash and SpyKids. He had to hide behind his sister during Jmanji, but he really enjoyed it.
Other favourites are The Railway Children and Swallows and Amazons.

OverMyDeadBody · 13/01/2008 10:15

DS is 4 and the only films he ever wants to watch are:

My neighbor Totero
Kiki's Delivery Service
Howl's Moving Castle
Spirited Away

Children love watching things repeptatively don't they! If ever I mention borrowing a new film from blockbuster he just refuses, would rather watch one of the above for the umpteenth time
