Nintendo DS - what can your (just) four year old play on this?

I have one with urbz, nintendogs, tetris and so on (quite grown up games but then it is mine lol!) and ds who is nearly four can play a bit on nintendogs, stroking them, walking them, feeding them etc but he doesn't get the concept of the tournaments etc although if I'm honest I'm not great at it either!

We're going on holiday in June when he'll be 4 years and two months, and I was thinking of getting him a game for his birthday so he can also play it on the plane - has anyone got any suggestions for something he'll be able to play?

I'd be interested in answer.

I have one and ds (3.3) loves to play on it. I would be interested in a game he could do.

We asked in game but they just looked blank.

My DS who's 5 and 2 months loves brain training, but I think you'd need to be able to read! He also likes his sister's old game boy advance games (which you can play on the DS) and are pretty cheap on ebay. basic platform games would probably be best. I think some are rated 3+ so would probably look out for those.

yeah I've got brain training too lol he can't read it!

Will have a look for 3+ ones

lunavix · 11/01/2008 20:46

I dont think the 3+ thing relates to the games diffidulty more the appropriate age of play iee violence etc.

lunavix · 11/01/2008 20:47

My ds, just 5, got one for christmas and loves Madagascar and sonic. There are one or two bits of text, but he asks me to read it and it's not that much.

ArmadilloDaMan · 12/01/2008 09:35
