What changes would you make?

Id increase moderation and I'd ban a lot of posters. I'd probably end up chatting to myself.

Delete threads if the OP doesn’t respond to advice/replies within 24 hours

I would add an edit function.

I think, with an edit button, it would be important to be able to see what has been edited. Obviously it would great for typos and the like but I'd be wary of revisionism creeping in, particularly on the more 'bunfight' topics/threads.

Better moderation.
There are a LOT of people on here who are horrible just for the sake of it. I've never come across many bullies in real life and yet you are inundated with people on here hiding behind their computers!

I think 2 complaints about someone and then banned (obviously if the comments are deemed as horrible).

I'd get the notifications are working again.

I'd make it so when someone quotes your post to reply to it you'd get a notificationthat you could actually read!! just like you do when someone tags you in a post

I'd also make it that those notifications either acted like the bookmark function does, and take you directly to the post you were tagged in, instead of leading you very vaguely to the thread OR the notification would quote the entire post

I'd get the reply function to tag the poster you are replying to - it seems an entirely pointless feature at present

I'd get the Send a PM link to work so it actually sent a PM directly to the person rather than taking you to a general PM area then making you enter the user name of the person you want to PM!

I’d ban anyone who types ‘f’, ‘.’ or ‘following’ instead of using bookmark and watch thread. Instant ban, no appeals.

I’d get rid of AIBU and move threads to the correct topics. I’d also slash the number of topics which overlap/duplicate.

Anyone posting the words ‘picky bits’, ‘vile’, ‘massive salad’ or ‘grim’ gets suspended for a week.

Competitive cleaning and laundry threads will be zapped.

RTFT will be compulsory. 😀

I would introduce an interview for potential new members, so that only people I like would get accepted.
