I bought one of these and its great....I wouldn't be without it.

I have a bisel.

It's not a steam cleaner but is very good, I have animals and so obviously needs to be effective for getting dog/cat sick out of the carpet. Also has a hard floor attachment which I use for cleaning my kitchen floor.

The one I bought was about £125 though so slightly more expensive, but definitely prefer that to getting someone in.

steam cleaner better or equal to the carpet cleaners with the fluid in them then?

I think you can hire a machine from Homebase it doesnt cost a lot (£30 or so I think), you get it overnight and it is brilliant. And it is cheaper than getting a wee man in.

I have a steam cleaner and a bisel and I prefer the Bisel, less work and seems to clean deeper.

Our one was about £200 from Argos and best thing we have bought. Def better than getting a man in. If any spillages happen DH can clean it up straight away.

got a 20 year old vax that's ace! feels like you've done a two hour workout afterwards though.

S1ur · 10/01/2008 13:51

yep got bissel tyoo, and its good, quick and easy. plus dries quickly too though depends a bit on type carpet. with toddlers always going to work out cheaper to have your own imo.

oh and good for getting rid on urine smell too

ConnorTraceptive · 10/01/2008 13:57

Yes the vax upright one is fantastic.
