Looking for social / community for my mum who's just moved from USA to London to care for DS

Hello out there! My mum just moved from LA to look after my DS, and I was thinking it might be nice for her to get to know other grannies in London who are also looking after their grandchildren. I am looking for (a) other grannies who might be interested in playdates with my mum and 9 mo DS, or (b) suggestions for ways I can introduce my mum to other people her age who enjoy theatre, long walks, and those puzzles where you circle the word that's hidden in a jumble of letters .

With regard to (b), this is for friendship only, of course, I am not trying to set her up. I just think her life here would be so much more enriched if she had some friends to spend time with, iyswim.

Definitely not! In fact, I'd rather find things for her that do not involve DS so her entire life doesn't revolve around him. I guess I could have made that more clear on my post...though I also want to find people she can spend time with when she is looking after DS so she doesn't get bored, iyswim.
