Can I cancel and dispute an order / credit card payment for an item of furniture that hasn't come within the agreed timescales?

Ordered child's bedroom furniture which I was advised would take 4-8 weeks to come.8 weeks has now elapsed. Am I within my rights to cancel the order (they have my credit card details but I don't think they have taken payment yet - will check though, if they have taken payment, presumbly I can cancel and then notify credit card company to cancel payment?)

Fed up waiting and can source alternatives quickly elsewhere

I would cancel. You entered a contract with them to provide furniture within a specified timescale which they have not done, therefore I would cancel.
