Where have you been Mumsnet?

What happened yesterday? No 'Talk' on Mumsnet! I kept checking all day and still kept getting the 'server busy' message. That stupid pop-up still managed to appear though!

Now there are no active conversations or last day/last week listings. I hope it gets back to normal soon.

I know what you mean PamT!! Luckily there's a third one that I use too, plus Ebay so I survived, just. I emailed Mumsnet when I first started getting the "Server Busy" message, and apparently the problem coincided with the end of Tech's holiday. Poor guy - hope you had a good time while you were away!

Thank goodness mumsnet is back! I did so much work yesterday they'll be expecting it all the time now (and we can't have that)

titchy · 29/10/2002 11:33

Ooh me too bettys - am making up for it today though!

Can't make my mind up if we're all sad, or just very well adjusted to life in the modern-day e-environment

Just to second Alibubbles. If you haven't subscribed - do it NOW! To my shame I've only just got round to it and it was very easy online. Imagine what it would be like if it really disappeared....

Tech - A question for you: can't Justine, Carrie and co not post something on the home page to say that the Talk section is down and is hoped to be fixed by...?
Thanks

Right, this is how sad I was. I wasn't at home at the weekend but phoned dp to ask him if mumsnet was back up yet. When he told me it was and I found myself with half an hour to kill at Waterloo last night I went looking for an internet cafe (well, it had been 3 days for me, I needed to score) Didn't find one mind you, but have just got home after 5 hour drive and did I speak to dp? Did I heck, I was straight up here. (Hey, I spoke to him loads on the phone while I was away, right?) Luckily there's football on so he doesn't mind

Hi Pupuce,

Normally they would be able to do that, but the nature of the fault meant they lost their editing access as well. This is why Saturday's home page stayed up until Monday.

Regards,
Tech
