just a warning dont buy them they made my son have terrible nappy rash, he went from one change to another and it looked like boiling water had been poured over him, the same happend to my friends little girl! im still arguing it out with boots at the mo and they gave me free nappy cream but now my lil one screams when he has his nappy changed the only thing that got rid of it which the docs told me was to put egg white on it!!

never had a problem with boots own brand, but dd1 couldnt wear the old tesco's ones fopr the same reason you said.

MrsBadger · 06/01/2008 15:30

agree it usually depends on the bottom, not the nappy

why not try cloth?

lulumama · 06/01/2008 15:32

i have found them to be absolutely fine

make sure your LO has some nappy free time and is changed regularly.. cooled camomile tea meant to be soothing swabbed onto a sore bottom

whenever my two were teething, they got very sore bottoms, regardless of what brand of nappy they were wearing

ScottishMummy · 06/01/2008 15:52

boots were great for my baby but pampers terrible nappy rash, raised up welts. just goes to show they all got different wee bots and reactions too

any way shame your lo suffered

try cannestan form boots for or for fungal nappy rash

Thovaline works (has cod liver in so bit whiffy)

Metanium also worked - bright yellow stains easily

I remember mine had the most AWFUL reaction to Huggies.

Odd, isn't it. What on earth do they put in the things?

erm, the manufacturers, not the babies. we know what they put in them.....

We switched to Boots own brand about 4/5 months ago - when we realised that it was pretty pointless DH constantly making massive detours on the way home from work just to buy our "beloved" Tesco ones (we used Tesco own brand without a break for nearly 6yrs ).

They were the closest in price/quality we could find to Tesco own and have had no problem at ALL with them.

maybe u all right cos he has regular changes etc nappy free time but only happend with boots. the bottom of the nappy is really bitty asaposed to any others i d tried hmm
