More hours in nursery vs more hours from cleaner?

DS (almost 3) goes to preschool 5 mornings (term time only)
I am home full time, DD is 9mths

I am worn out and not really keeping on top of things. I am debating asking my cleaner to do an extra 2 hours but DH has suggested DS doing an afternoon at preschool...

thoughts?

Is your cleaner in a position to do extra cleaning?

I do cleaning jobs around looking after ds, and I only have certain, specific times when I can do it.

I guess that's the first thing to establish.

well IMHO an extra afternoon of preschool is all very well, but you'll still have dd to look after

so i'd go for extra hours from the cleaner everytime (unless you could do one morning a week childcare for the 9 month old?)

Extra hours from the cleaner definitely! An extra afternoon in preschool will only be good in term time and will still leave you stuggling in holiday time.

A full day is too much for such a little child. dd (nearly 4) goes 3 mornings a week and she gets so tired.
That tiredness does pass. I had 3 under 3 at one point.
If you can afford a cleaner then go for extra cleaning as long as there's stuff for her to actually do.

Thanks, I was thinking the afternoon would be too much for DS

I need to decide before asking my cleaner
Asking and then saying I've changed my mind would not go down well

i'd go for the cleaner too.

oh i would so LOVE a cleaner. my place is rarely tidy enought to be able to clean [sigh]

the housework will always be there

your ds will be at school before you can say "fuck me he's at school!"

get the cleaner in for extra work
