Can anyone offer any advice? Back in May dd1 had her school photograph taken. I was two days late so posted off my £21 cheque for a portrait and group photograph. The photographs all came back to school, and as I was only two days later than everyone else expected dds photo to be in with everyone else's. It was not.

They've fobbed me off all summer "we've printed you off any extra set for your inconvenience" etc etc. We'll I've just got off the 'phone to them, the woman said "I've had an email from Mr Humphries (the proprietor) and he said we could issue you with a voucher for future use and send you the prints when we've located them". I asked her when that was likely to be and do you know what her bl**dy reply was? "Well, we're very busy at the moment so it's not likely to be until after Christmas." I saw red and said I'd be speaking to the head and hopefully he'd agree we me that we wouldn't be using Humphries Photographers again, and put the phone down (and immediately wished I'd waited for a response.

What would you do? (Incidentally, I'd noted down the print numbers and given them to them, as instructed.) Advice please. TIA XXX

I've been thinking about this wrt my kids photographers. Have they mislaid the negatives, or are they just being stroppy about you handing it in late? The school photographers here charge a late payment fee for handing them in past the date

Well, my little boy's not at school yet, but if it happened to me, I'd definately speal to the school about it, and write an EXTREMELY snotty letter to them. Is this a chain, or just the one? If it's a chain, then write to their head office. Can't think of anything else at the moment, sorry....! But if I do, I'll let you know. Good luck

Sorry, meant to say speak...!

I think they take them digitally - their excuse was that they'd moved premises and the file had been download to an external something or other. They made a point of saying there was no extra charge for late arrivals - but even if there was I'd have been happy to pay it - surely no one can be that vindictive just 'cos you were two days late? It's not a chain, it's a company based in Winchester, with a Mr Humphries owning it. What would you say to the head?

I'm sorry to rant on but I'm all in a tis about this - dd2 was too scared to have her first school photo taken so this one would have been really precious to me. What sort of things would you put in the letter? Sorry for being so c**p but I know it's one of those things dh wouldn't be bothered by.

And also the bit about them being busy so won't be able to do it till after Christmas. Blimey, it was May, which Christmas do they mean? Feel really low down on their priority list and don't think its fair. But suppose most things aren't.

i'd send the school a letter asking them to investigate and get them to try and put some leverage on finding the file. If it happened in may, that is much longer than you should be reasonably be prepared to wait.

I'd be pretty annoyed too. I would write a letter to the school and explain the situation to them. They're less likely to fob the school off in case they lose the contract with them for the next time around. It shouldn't take months to download and print a digital photo.

I doubt theres much you can do other than complain complain complain.
DD1s school photogrpher lost ALL the siblings and family photos......they were late the first time and as theydd lost the whole lot we thought they would be on time and efficient...oh no..late agagin and they only sent one photographer

dd had her picture taken at preschool a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how expensive they were! £10 was the cheapest package (3 photos) and on top of that they wanted a £6 processing/packaging/posting fee. Outrageous!
When I'm home I always take her to Walmart where they offer a package for about £4 all taxes in with loads and loads of photos!!
