I believe you get green points when you use them (a friend has mentioned getting points when she recycles her bottles) our tesco isn't posh enough to have one yet

oh i dont have one, might be worth it if you get points, if not it will go to the recycling bank 2 seconds outside my front door!

good grief

if there's nothing in it for you you'll put it in landfill

aren't you the globally-minded

Staceym21AtLast · 03/01/2008 20:00

no i'll recycle it closer to home, did you not read my post?

saltire · 03/01/2008 20:01

you definitley get poins for glass

1 point per 4 items

not sure you get points for oterh stuff...

i take all my mums stuff for her cause i like the free points... and (i lead a sad life obviously) its just so much fun putting it in the cool machine thing

Took loads for my bosses the other day as well, when i was going anyway!

Staceym21AtLast · 03/01/2008 22:11

oh i want one i want one!

Lucycat · 03/01/2008 22:19

so how do we find out where there is one of these machines then?

sounds like great fun!

WendyWeber · 03/01/2008 22:22

In Sweden you get money.

(Mind you they charge you a deposit when you buy the stuff, and you just get it back when you put it in the Charlie machine; but you do get a coupon you can use at the checkout. I actually wrote to my MP about it saying why can't we do that, fat lot of good that did )

Flibbertyjibbet · 03/01/2008 22:25

eeee it takes me back t't days when youngsters would go round door to door collecting pop bottles to take back to the off licence to get the deposits back.

But if we get one of these machines near us I will use it only if I am passing, cos Tesco in general is far too expensive for me to shop there. And of course everyone will use un green petrol making detours to go to these machines to get about 1/2p worth of points.... I am such a cynic.
Oh would have to get a clubcard first.
