Need to hire kilts for wedding in Italy in August. Problem arrive in Italy 2 weeks before! Help?

Not likely... can only suggest you ring some shops and discuss it - they may give a special extension?

Now when dh and I went to Canada I looked into him hiring a kilt, we were going for a fortnight.

I'm sure there was something about a bigger deposit to pay, that we would get back when we returned the kilt, just incase something happened to the kilt while we were away.

In the end Dh bought his own kilt and has worn it many times over the past 6 years to various parties/weddings etc

Phone some shops and ask them they will be happy to help you and give advice.

I have no idea if this will be any use to you or not, but Lipmans in Charing Cross Road (London) allowed us to take the hire suits for our wedding away with us some 2 months beforehand and didn't charge us any extra for this - this was nearly 17 years ago, mind you, and I have a sneaking suspicion it was because the screaming queen nice young shop assistant and I hit it off big time that I got away with it! They may have got a bit more businesslike in the meantime, as it was a very dusty, old-fashioned place back then... they definitely had kilts back then.

I looked up their website and they seem to have gone a bit flash (here) and opened a few more branches - as kilts aren't specifically mentioned, if you're in London I'd pop into the Charing Cross branch and see if they can help at all - might be worth it!
