Anyone got an ELC Baby Millie? How do you wake it up?

I've already had the doll back to the shop today and they gave me another one as it says on the box that 'loud noises will wake baby Millie and make her cry'. Well they don't.

The only way you can reactivate the gurgling, crying etc is to open up her back and switch it off, then on again. This doesn't seem right to me. I've even tried slapping it about a bit to see if that will work. The sucking bit will work if you put the dummy or bottle in her mouth but I can imagine both of these being lost and we're left with a £30 doll that doesn't DO anything.

Hope someone can help.

DD got this doll for christmas, my house is very loud & we have tried claping very loud over her but she does not wake up.

Only way we can get her to wake it to suck dummy/bottle is well.

Know what you mean dragon... Seems to work for the real one here too!

Scooby - it's bloody annoying eh? Mind you, if we do eventually get one that works properly i'll probably be so fed up with it that i'll be taking the batteries out anyway .

Loud noises only wake her up when she's sleeping, ie breathing audibly, not when she's just lying there, being a doll. So the only way you can activate her is to stick dummy or bottle in, then remove. Unlike real baby, this will result in HAPPY noises.

Just tried it with the bottle and it woke up crying.

Maybe there was nothing wrong with the first one I took back then .

Lol, last year we had a baby annabelle, I spent about 4 days trying to get the stupid thing to cry

and posted on here about it lol

in the end I got one tear out of it and thats it, never seen another!!!!!

and just posted about the doll we got this year thats causing me problems lol lol
