Can I pay money IN at a HSBC cash machine?

Question's in the title really. Poorly baby, not really wanting to go in and queue etc - if I go nowish I can just stop by the machine and pay it in without going into the bank... if I can't though there is no point going til closer to half nine when they open!

there are machines in the bank where you can pay money in, different than the cash withdrawing machines, but less likely to be queues like for the tills.

I always use them for paying in cash and cheques and never any queues. Good luck

at the abbey national there is a box for deposits. you just fill in an envelope and bung the money in that, then put it in the box. hsbc may have something similar?
