Is QVC just shit? I am worried about my mum.

I'm not losing sleep but I am a bit concerned.
My mum buys a LOT of stuff from QVC. Now I have seen a bit of QVC and it all looks transparently like a con to me.
She keeps offering me things. "Would you like me to get you a 100% feather three-inch-thick mattress topper?" was the last one but there have been a few. She quotes the brand name but I never recognise them.
Each time she comes out with the sales spiel. She did buy us a thin down thing you put on top of the mattress - it's lovely and cosy but I was horrified that it cost £90 ffs.
Is she maybe a bit addicted or is it all good stuff at reasonable prices?

My mum loves QVC too. But she buys stuff like Liz Earle cleanser etc, it genuinely is cheaper.

There is loads of tat as well though!

Ah my friend's Mum is addicted to QVC- she roders stuff and it never even comes out the box!

My aprents order occasionally fi they see something they need, like saucepans and have always been pleased with their choices (and theya re V picky about price), so don't think its a con but some people can get a bita ddicted i think.

Oh well. My mum does have a taste for tat....
I suppose she's an adult and earning her own money. it's all a bit sad though.

I've bought some craft stuff from QVC and the only con side I can see is in their scrapbook albums, the plastic sleeves to put the paperwork in are only 2 holed; not 4 like ALL the others in the world, thus meaning you HAVE to go back to QVC for more sleeves.

The quality is good, the service is good. Depends on what is for sale as to whether the price is good, I've found.

QVC is the place to buy top of the range beauty products, some of the brands you won't recognise as they are from US. I have bought some fantastic make up from there such as Smashbox, Models Prefer.

I would say that the stuff is generally upmarket rather than down market and they do offer good deals on products such as Molton Brown. You get alot more than if you buy from their (Molton Brown) shop in Covent Garden as I did in the summer.

Some of the fashions are a bit odd though. But generally high quality rather than low quality.

They also sell products such as Steiff bears which are really pricey.

Can get addictive I agree - have to watch yourself esp if watching after a few glasses of wine.
