Ok I am in a can't be bothered, demotivated at work mood so I am having a bit of fun. Does anyone remember Mr Snuffleupagus in Sesame Street, he was a big elephant kind of thing. I want to find a piccy of him - can anyone help?

Never like Mr Snuffy - his eyelashes were too long and he was too soppy. Oscar the Grouch - now there's a muppet!

I remember, Tillysmummmy! Thought I'd found you a pic via Google - although most of the links appear to be about a horse called Mr S - but although the caption said he was in it he wasn't....sorry!

Tillysmummy · 18/10/2002 14:59

Shame Janh! I'll take a look Tracyhay. Copper my dh has really long eyelashes and I always call him Mr S - you can imagine how much he likes that ! Anyway I wanted to get a picture to email him to make him laugh this dreary Friday pm ! Personally, I didn't like Sesame Street !

Another demotivated Friday afternoon person here -Aloysius Snuffleupagus - I remember him - just had a quick search in Google and I have found a piccy here (hope that link works)
Only have to ask one thing though - why??

Jaybee · 18/10/2002 15:02

Looks like you answered my 'why??' question while I was trying to work how to do the link.

I also found a 2nd hand 4 inch plush Mr Snuffleuffagus for sale for $5.

janh · 18/10/2002 15:16

It did work, Jaybee, well done - I was in Yesterdayland too but didn't go far enough obviously - what a lot of us there are multishirking this afternoon!
Did you notice that the same bloke who did him also voiced Count von Count?

SoupDragon · 18/10/2002 15:20

I am the Count, I can count up to three... One! Aha-ha-ha Two! Aha-ha-ha Three! Aha-ha-ha

I have to confess DS2 (19 mnths) and I do this when counting scoops of milk into his bedtime bottle. I do the counting, he adds the "Aha-ha-ha"s

janh · 18/10/2002 15:32

Bless!
(Does he have the black hair and the cape?)

SoupDragon · 18/10/2002 15:34

No, sadly not. He's currently blond and angelic looking.

MandyD · 18/10/2002 21:25

My DP calls me Shuffleupagus when I'm going about the house in my slippers. He also applies that name to Ozzy Osbourne, having watched The Osbournes on MTV!

Tillysmummy, do you have satellite TV? The Biography Channel currently has a TWO HOUR programme on Sesame Street, including a couple of shots of Mr S! (No Count von Count though, Soupdragon.)
