Got a new brown leather suite yesterday, it has poo, pee and butter on it already!!!

My much desired brown leather suite arrived yesterday and it has been christened already. DS2 is potty training and both DS's had bread and butter for a snack this afternoon and have put buttery finger prints all over it.

The biggest problem seems to be the butter and poo marks, they have been wiped with a damp cloth, small spot of Fairy, but have left a greasy mark, any ideas if this will fade? I don't think it's too bad but I have had half a bottle of wine but DH thinks it is shocking and by the looks of his face I think he is thinking of banning the children from the living-room!!!

But think how much worse it could have been if it were brown suede!

We have had a leather suite for 10 years, and it has aged wonderfully. They are much tougher than fabric sofas.

Try a baby wipe (honestly!) Otherwise you can buy a leather cleaner for grease marks.

We use baby wipes too. You can buy specialist leather cleaners from places like Lakeland Plastics, Betterware, etc, but the wipes do the trick.

Ah, I said to DH babywipes, that's what they recommend on MN. He looked a bit skeptical.

Any particular brand? I've got the Huggies in the re-sealable bag here, are they OK?

Bump! It's just that I seem to remember people recommending Johnson & Johnson, wondered if the lotion in them was what worked with the leather?
