I have lots of pairs but keep patching my favourites!

How many pairs do you have - how many actually fit and do you have a fave brand?

My faves are Gap long and lean

I have about 12 pairs, and thats after a major clearout. TBH honest none of them fit anymore..the 12s are too tight and the 14s drop off me

posyhairdresser · 12/11/2004 21:00

I'm a bit of a shape shifter myself

Lots and only 2 don't fit!! My fave every day ones are New Look ones with white embroidery on and my fave only-wear-very-occasionally ones are some Miss Sixty ones with silver, red and blue patterns all down the legs.

codswallop · 12/11/2004 21:01

gao long and lean
three pairs
all fit

vict17 · 12/11/2004 21:02

one bootleg pair from Gap - bit tight now but I blame washing them too much
one Next pair - hipsters that only fit cos they let my post-baby tummy hang over them
Need new jeans

wobblyknicks · 12/11/2004 21:03

Just had a quick count in my head and AFAIK I've got 8 pairs atm.

Am feeling very chuffed because my 14s now fit me! They are Dorothy Perkins. They always used to fit me really well, and Next did too but post-baby I've changed shape and neither of them are such a good fit but I have no money to buy any more so will have to put up with it!

SoupDragon · 12/11/2004 21:16

4 pairs (2 blue, 2 black) of assorted Gap ones and they all fit.

Hulababy · 12/11/2004 21:19

I have two pairs and both fit. And both were bargains too One pair is by Chloe. Was £135 when shop dpownstairs first opened, and then (because of the delays, etc. here with opening) they had huge clearance sale ready for new stock - so got them for £35, including having them taken up. Second pair is from little shop down round, by Naughty - and they were £10 in the closing down sale

Bozza · 12/11/2004 21:21

One pair River Island cropped - fit
One pair Wranglers flared -fit
One pair Gap straight-legged - don't fit
One pair Next hipsters - don't fit
One pair Oasis boot cut - fit
One pair (not sure) stetchy hipsters - fit

So thats six pairs and two don't fit. The bottom ones I got at an outlet place for a tenner are my newest and current faves.

I have 2 pairs of jeans. 1 are a gap pair that I got in 2002, still going stong although I think the knees will go in them soon. I've had a baby since I bought them and have managed to get back into them to my relief. I'm short so they are short ones, they have a name from gap but can't remember what it is.

The other pair are a John Rocha pair that my friend bought for herself in a sale but mistakingly bought the short length and so gave them to me while I was pregnant. "you can wear them after the baby arrives" is what she said. I had reservations that if I didn't go back to my normal size then I wouldn't be able to wear them but I did and I wear them all the time. I prefer them to the other ones as they are dark denim and my Gap pair are light denim. But because I wear these all the time I'm worried that they're going to wear out real soon, lots of crawling around on the floor etc.

I hate buying jeans as because I'm short it's really hard to find ones that fit properly length wise.

janeybops · 12/11/2004 21:29

Having not worn jeans for about 10 years since DS I have bought 2 pairs;
1 M&S boot leg - fit just after washing but then stretch and I can take them off without undoing them!
1 Next - same as above.

Have trouble with jeans as I am 'apple' shaped - not the usual 'pear'. Therefore waist is much bigger proportionally than hips.

When a teen had to wear mens jeans...

Gobbledigook · 12/11/2004 21:32

Got 2 pairs of jeans - both fit, both hipster and boot cut ones from Per Una and Next.

Also got a couple of pairs of cords that fit (although one pair is much too big round the waist).

Hate buying jeans.

ja9 · 12/11/2004 21:45

ha! how many fit???!! ha!!

ja9 · 12/11/2004 21:46

none!

ja9 · 12/11/2004 21:46
Sad
Demented · 12/11/2004 22:09

Five pairs, three long, two cropped.

Long ones, one pair Next, one Levi and one M&S bootcut, M&S bootcut too big!

Cropped, one Next, one Per Una, Per Una too big!

If anyone wants Per Una cropped jeans size 14, stretch denim (worn about 10 times, not much in the life of jeans) CAT me. £5 inc postage.

nailpolish · 12/11/2004 22:11

boast - had a baby 3 and a half weeks ago and fit back into my jeans this morning.

although they are not my fave ones

lavender2 · 12/11/2004 22:14

one wrangler, one I dunno but light blue (had an american pair, next pair, levi 501 with holes in knees...have grown too fat for all these and now have 3 pairs to my name.....9 pairs would never have rather have skirts and feminine items!

PuffTheMagicDragon · 12/11/2004 22:14

None. I'm too fat.

Demented · 12/11/2004 22:18

Nailpolish!!!

BTW am I right in evesdropping on a previous thread that you live in Fife?

nutcracker · 12/11/2004 23:01

I have about 8 pairs too, and I don't think i can say that any fit perfectly.

I had a great pair of Top shop ones but they are a bit too short now, thanks to the tumble dryer

Have a pair of glittery River Island ones that look nice on but are really uncomfy.

I hate jean shopping.

libb · 12/11/2004 23:07

What is "long and lean"? Mine are usually D Perkins but then I forget to put heels on and they scuff round the bottom - I am getting it wrong aren't I?

I love my Gap cords though, I think they maybe long and lean actually . . . unless I carry on piling on weight
