Basically have an item for sale and someone has asked for a buy it now price. Is that legal in ebay terms? Also how do I do it if I should want to accept. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi - yes it is legal if you have no bids currently. You can go back into revise your listing and do 'add buy it now price'and put on what you ideally want.
Email the person beforehand to tell them the price you are putting on at and see if they are happy with it then they will be poised to buy it.

I think (don't quote me!) that it is perfectly legal, but you can only do it, if there are no bids on the item.

A more seasoned Ebayer might be along to help in a minute.

You don't have to put a Buy It Now price on it unless you want to. If you don't, just ignore the email. If you do want to you can edit your listing - but you can't do that if anyone has put a bid in already or if it has less than 24 hours (I think it's 24 hours anyway) to run.

Okay, thank you for your help on this - I am relatively new to ebay. Thanks for your help.
