Was there a mumsnet Christmas quiz last year? Does anyone fancy one this year?

I hadn't discovered Mumsnet last year, so I don't know.

There was a thread last night with quiz questions on and it was a bit of fun and reminded me that I like pub quizzes but rarely get to one these days!

Do you think its feasible to organise one? If it were for a prize, would the Mumsnet team find a few sponsored prizes for the winners? Nothing major of course, a crate of Dom Perignon or perhaps a Prada handbag . I was thinking that the questions could be put on the site, but not a thread, so we don't post our answers there, we email them to Mumsnet - questions appear at a set time, then answers have to be emailed by a certain time etc.

Is this a good or rubbish idea, or, has it all been done before and is under development as we speak?

I don't mind devising some of the questions (and obviously not take part in the quiz) but wouldn't want to do it all alone .

Dom Perignon, you say...

Another quiz lover here. Sounds like a fab idea to me and I'd definitely be up for it.

Hmmm 7 people. Don't think I'll convince the powers that be that there's enough demand for a Christmas quiz . It would have been nice - we could have all bought in our favourite tipple plus a mince pie or two, then sung carols together in the BAR afterwards and argued furiously about the answers.....

Ooh yes - don't want a Prada handbag though but a weekend in Rome would be nice.

beansmum · 12/11/2004 10:41

I'd do it, anything to stop me doing something useful.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 12/11/2004 10:43

Now you're talking Marthamoo, minimum 3 night break !

What's that island of Richard Branson's? Necker? How about all the winning MNers get a fortnight there - waited on hand and foot?

SecondhandRose · 12/11/2004 20:16

How about which Harry Potter character is in the new Bridget Jones film?

I didn't ask the Mumsnet team, as there didn't seem to be many takers.
