Hi,
My husband will probably need to relocate to Pembridge st the beginning of next year. Since I work in a hospital, I was thinking to look for houses in Ledbury that is close to pembridge and has 4 hospitals all at the same distance more or less so it will hopefully be easier to find a job for me. Is it s good place to rise a family? Are primary and secondary schools good? Other Good areas nearby? Thanks smile

Lexbury is nice. I thought pembridge is close to Kington? Unless there are two?

Yes it is. Is kington nice ? Schools?
I just thought that ledbury has more hospitals around so it would be easier for me to find a job nearby.

It is quite far between the two for a commute if you don't need to do that journey. Probably an hour on slow roads

If you don't want to live in Kington, I would suggest Hereford would be more sensible and there are a number of good schools there. Kington and ledbury high school both fine too.

Thanks a lot for your answer. The problem with living on that side (kington/ hereford) is that it will limit quite a lot my job opportunities whereas ledbury/malvern are closish to Hereford/Worcester/chelthenam and Gloucester. So unless I find a job at Hereford county hospital before moving there, it’s probably better to have more doors opened.

I would say that Ledbury, Colwall and Malvern are good places to consider due to the rail links which will give your kids more independence in the teenage years. The train service from Malvern is better but then that would be further from your DH job. State schools used to be good in these areas but I don't have recent experience. You would also have the option of sending the DC to private schools in Worcester.
