Help!!! where can I find wooden barbecue skewers???

I need them for tomorrow (I know, I know, and I am normally so organised - but it's kind of crept up on me) for the school fair chocolate fountain stall which I have the dubious honour of running.

I couldn't find any 2 wks ago for the other school fair but another mum raided her stock, and we still had about 80.

Now I am cleaned out, who will sell me them? I need at least 100 and Asda/Sainsbo's/Wilko's all tell me they only sell them in the summer.

(Have never had this problem in previous years so that cannot be true. However.) They haven't got them so has anyone seen them on sale anywhere?

try a garden centre - I've managed ot get there "off season" before.

What about an independent kitchen equipment type shop - they might be more expensive but I would guess they would sell them all year round?

Chinese or Thai supermarket, if you have such a thing near you. Our local Thai supermarket carries them all year round.
