That is,more than I have read myself.
Would stuff like an NHS employee's wage and grade and what exactly their job entailed be included?

Don't know if you've seen this its specific for NHS?

When I worked in a public body it was assumed that anything could be requested under FOI.

The NHS should have their own guidelines on FOI including how to make a request (verbal/written) etc and how long it will take them to respond.

Thank you Soph.
Very useful.

I have worked with FOI since it came into force in 2005.

There is an exepmtion to prevent the disclosure of personal information, so you will probably get more if you can be general - eg mention job titles not names.

You are very unlikely to get exact salary (unless they are Chief Exec, possibly), but you should get salary band for a job title, same goes for grade.

A useful tip to remember is you do not have to use your own name to make a request - you can use an anonymous email if you wish. This comes in handy if you work for the organisation concerned.

Excellent Gursk.
Just as I thought.
Thank you very much indeed.

You're welcome, moondog. Feel free to message me if you need any tips writing the request or they stonewall you. I have been on the receiving end of many a request, so I know how to be a really annoying - I mean effective - applicant!

Thanks.
I am nearly there with something long and complicated but just need to be sure of my facts.
Have put thread on watch and will bear your kind offer in mind!
