Anyone work 4 a charity with places left for London Marathon?

Hi - DH really keen to do it in 2008 even though he didnt get a place in the ballot. Hes getting on a bit and doesnt want to miss his chance. He did the Great North Run this year and quite easily raised over £1,000 for a local charity without a huge amount of effort so he thinks it should be possible to raise the amount needed for a golden bond place.

(Unfortunately the local charity he ran for before dont have any places.)

Anyone looking for runners or know of any charities that still need runners.

Im going to work my way through charities on the net tonight but it would be gr8 to get a heads up of any that definately have spaces left. (Or maybe a small charity that doesnt get a lot of exposure.)

It is well worth approaching all the charities. i didn't get my place until end Jan for London Marathon 2006 because the charity was able to re-issue places for people that had dropped out.
they tend to want to know a) - whether you are likely to finish, and b) - how much money you could raise.
Your DH would be ok on both counts with the info he could give.
