I have two shameful sartorial memories.

The worst was the shorts suit I wore in the late 80's.It was a navy blue job with a while sailor collar, short sleeves on the jacket,and brass buttons.The shorts were just above the knee length & had turn ups.It looked lovely with navy & white court shoes.

Then,oh horror,I discovered the lyrca catsuit.I used to wear one to go nightclubbing!God knows what I was thinking-it can't possibly have looked flattering as I am straight up & down with very little in the way of curves.I probably looked like a matchstick.I'm embarrassed just thinking about it now.

Please tell me I'm not alone in my bad taste past?

I wore an orange satin A line thigh length wrap skirt in 1995. I didn't have the figure for it, really, and I wore it with a tight electric blue lycra teeshirt.

In my defence, I was 15.

Ok, here goes. Jersey bright green jumpsuit with padded shoulders, narrow belt, cowboy boots and a perm.....but it was the early 80s

Oh God I've just remembered the blue and white stripey ra-ra skirt with white t-shirt, white tights and white court shoes

black catsuit
neon pink sock
neon green sock
black plastic beads
yellow clinch plasticy belt
stripy neon t shirt (cat suit had a low v and was indecent without it)

Trills off singing "it was acceptable in the eighties"

Me too with the lycra catsuit. It was black with a low scoop neck and I'm the palest person in the world, so I looked like a (half) pint of Guinness. And I wore it with D.M.s. I was nice and slim though.

Short bright green cord skirt (made myself, literally sewn into) - bright red top, tights and ballet pumps (I have calves like a rugby prop forward)

oooh yes i'd forgotten the clumpy shoes

and lets not mention the electric blue mascara/pale green shimmer eyeliner/pink frosted eyeshadow/stripe of blusher/heather shimmer lip stick

I must have looked like a stick of liquorice dipped in sherbert

Dances .. Sounds fab can I borrow your outfit? (am to be a santa's helper at the school bazaar)

Oh yes, black shiny patent plastic platforms with a four inch heel. They weighed about 3lb each and altogether I must have looked like "Porky Hooker Barbie"

Tie die cotton dungarees with wide legs but cuffed ankles and cap sleeve type straps. Oh the shame!

Pre-perm days I went through so much hair spray holding those flicks in place - oh was I hideous stylish.
