that is a zoomed in section of it It's a wide 53cm border for DSs room (20months). I thought yellow? Anyone have that border? Is it nice? Hard to tell over the internet.
TIA

Hi, that is a lovely border for a dc room.
How about a nice light green below the border and pail sky blue above and you could add a few white clouds near ceiling with a sponge

LadyOfWaffle · 25/11/2007 21:39

DH loves the clouds idea but I think the room is too cold to paint blue - and too small for a colour top and bottom I think. It's about 8 x 8 I guess, but there is the bathroom airing cupboard that takes a big square from one of the walls, so it's a U shape (if that makes sense). Well, a backwards C.

I'd probably be inclined to go for a turquoisey colour and a colour to match the warmer pale peachish- biscuity shade of the leopards enclosure, had a bad mistake (was only about 12 LOL) with pale blue and green and ended up with a bedroom that looked like the inside of a toothpaste tube LOL...

Peachy · 25/11/2007 21:41

Fo for a plae yellow then, or the bicuity colour- nice and warm then

LadyOfWaffle · 25/11/2007 21:44

Biscuity or yellow... ok. I am so scared of getting it wrong and mucking it up for DS and have left it very much to the last minute to do it - the floor is being layed in a few days so must paint first!

Lighter colours, to make the room look bigger.

I'd go for the background colour of the border, darker below (see just under the tree, bottom right) and lighter above (to the right of the bear in tree)

southeastastra · 25/11/2007 21:45

that is really lovely! i'd do it magnolia

moljam · 25/11/2007 21:47

wow its lovely!what a nice site!i agree yellow.id go for orangy yellow.
also green would look fab

hippipotami · 25/11/2007 21:48

that is a lovely lovely border, I really like it. I would go with a biscuitty beige as per Peachy.
Don't faff about with one colour above and one below the border, I think the room is too small for that and it will look fussy and detract from the lovely border.

LadyOfWaffle · 25/11/2007 21:56

I found a zoomed out version of the wallpaper cgi.ebay.co.uk/Zoo-Wallpaper-Frieze-Colour-21-High-6124-10_W0QQitemZ280174795861QQihZ018QQcategoryZ5 2348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I know, it's a great site - it was a toss up bewteen that and the harlequin far far away, but it seemed a little poncy for a 20month old boy! Let me go look at the bear etc., just been on the dulux site. Thanks

Ditto Purple Pillow, except I would paint a very muted primrose yellow above - sunny

SaintGeorge · 25/11/2007 22:02

Dulux, 'crushed cotton', pale but warm.

FAWKEOFFwiththetinsel · 25/11/2007 22:08
