Anyone sold jewellery by mail?

Hi,
I'm looking to sell my wedding ring (whole other story there, obvs), and am thinking of using one of the gold by mail companies.

Are they trustworthy? Has anyone used them before?

You basically sign up, they send you an envelope etc for you to post your jewellery in, they then give you an offer valuation once they receive your gold.

Just not sure whether to trust them, is it a rip-off, will I get a fair price etc.

I think I'd do it in a jewellers rather than by post.

Lois Jewellery/Bullion in Birmingham.
They are brilliant and trustworthy.
I sold a gold bracelet, thought it was 9ct. As soon as they received it they called me and said it was 18ct and increased the price. They have a proper business in jewellery quarter and great reviews.

Ok, thanks for your opinions.

I'm not in the midlands so think I'll pop into a local jeweller and see what they say.
