snowboarding helmet for a bike helmet

Lidl is selling these for a few quid, can I use a snowboarding helmet as a bike helmet for ds who is 4?

Give us a picture. Judging from the pix on Google, I imagine the snowboarding helmet is a lot tougher (hard plastic shell over full padding), which means more safety but also more weight, and much less ventilation (will be hotter to wear). Proper road cyclist helmets are much lighter (which means more comfy). The snowboarding helmets look exactly like BMX cyclist helmets. But those are meant for stunts, not so good if sweating hard underneath.

Lidl also sells cycle helmets for kids at a bargain price, I have one, you just have to wait for it to appear in shops.

don't know how to do links, i can see that there would be a problem with sweating! will wait for their cheap helmets, thanks

here? Think you might find problems with him hearing well, ventilation and weight/bulk.
