Am I right in thinking you can't buy Gameboy Advance anymore? DS has asked for one for Christmas cos his mate has one.

Was it superceded by the DS Lite? Argos have the games for it but not the console.

I don't think they are made any more but you can get them second hand on ebay- I got my DS one last Christmas.

Yes , very few newer released games available for GBA but there may be the odd pocket of stock still.

My DTs wa nt GBA too and I had to buy pre-owned from game as we couldnt get brand new. Have since found them on ebay but they are about £60+

Are you talking about Gameboy Advance or the Gameboy Advance SP? If the former, then I think they are no longer made. However, I suspect we have one or two knocking about around here which are no longer used, so if you are desperate, let me know.

I don't know the difference between the two Freckle (SP newer?) but if you've got one you want to sell on, let me know.

Thanks

why dont you have a look on ebay????

LazyLinePainterJane · 18/11/2007 20:21

You can still buy them brand new, the GBA SP and the Micro.

isaidno · 18/11/2007 20:22

try shops like gamestation and game for pre owned ones

You have to be a bit careful on ebay . Trading Standards recently found a significant number of the chargers advertised failed to meet safety standards and were dangerous.

You can play Gameboy Advance games on an Nintendo DS Lite, there's a wee slot at the front for them and the Nintendo cartridges go at the back.
The Nintendo DS Lite is great, my 6 year old got one for his birthday and loves it.
My 11 year old brother has a Gameboy advance and never plays with it now as he also has a Nintendo DS but he can still play his old Gameboy advance games on it.
I would rate the Nintendo way ahead of the Gameboy advance, grpahics (gameboy screen is really dull and you only get one screen as opposed to 2 on the ds), ease of use, selection of games, also the battery lasts ages on the ds
