DH is away for the night tonight. This morning when I made sure he understood that daddy would be away from lunchtime until "sometime" tomorrow (depends on how bad the hangovers are as to what time they leave ).

DS1 (7) said to me "mummy, if you want you and TK (DS3) can come and sleep in our room".....I asked him why and he said "so you won't be lonely and I can make sure you're ok" (I turned down the offer.....rather looking forward to having the whole bed to myself for a night ). But I thought to myself what a "man" he is, the "man of the house" is away, he's the oldest male so he takes over LOL.

Mind you he's obviously just like his father when I told DH about it he said he did something similar back in Zimbabwe when he was little. They were out in the village (middle of no-where), just before independence when the police were actively searching out "terrorists" (those fighting for independence). All of the men were away.....hiding and fighting their cause elsewhere so it was just the children and the women.

Anyhow, these police walked into the shop - and said "where are the men"........DH (aged about 4/5yrs old) walked up to them and said "here"

Awww, he sounds lovely!

Seems like your dh is/was very brave (at least as a child).

Enjoy your evening, and the space in your bed!
