I am planning my lesson for tomorrow and I need a work of art that represents God in a symbolic way. It needs to have some detail in it as I want them to recreate the pictire from memory in teams before analysing it. Originally thought perhaps Dali or Blake but am getting in a muddle as I am tired

I have actually found some to use in another lesson as we are looking at good and evil.

Trying to be helpful and not just a complete pedant, but isn't representing God in a symbolic way one of your pictures where he is not actually visible, ie, a ray of light is a symbol of God?

how about a caspar david friedrich

big landscapes nature/awe of god etc

We are starting a creative unit of work the end product will be a piece of art called searching for God.

So it need not be symbolic I just want a picture that will make themm think and is on the theme of looking for God.

I am knackered - having worked constantly from half five this morning so I would imagine my command of language is not great.
