Bit odd, well maybe not for mumsnet!
I just don't know which size boots to get for Lottie!

So, she's not walking (has Down's syndrome so a late walker, and not showing any signs of getting there tbh). She's 3 at Xmas, probably won't actually be walking till she's at least 4.

I've seen a pair of boots I really want to get her for when she is walking but no idea what size to buy.

Amazing boots - pink suede cowboy boots, they are so lovely, I've fallen in love with them

So she's barely a real size now, she has the dinkiest feet. What size should I buy her now ready for her when she's walking, say at about 5yrs old.

Size 36, 37, 38 or 39?

I just don't know and only mumsnet can help!

Look I know nothing about kids shoes, she has NHS ones made for her right now! What do i know!! But they are amazing and that's what i thought boots cost. i know you can buy them cheaper but I thought lots of kids boots cost about that much, am i wrong?

It's just that when I see my DD at 5 yrs old running around I see her in pink suede cowboy boots, and then there they were in the latest boden catalougue yesterday and I've thought about them loads since!

They are gorgeous TC and I'm sure she will look gorgeous in them but (you knew there was a but coming ) from my own past experience I bought a lovely little pair of boots for DS1 in the next sale and was convinced he would wear them the next winter however they didn't fit him until the height of summer and were wasted, he never wore them.

TC, get 'em. If they don't ever fit you can sell them on ebay (Boden stuff goes for more than you pay at Boden, iyswim!)

Sorry posts crossed, don't want to be the one to put a dampener on things but I also agree with Marthamoo that of course you can buy them and enjoy them, if it doesn't work out you can always sell them on e-bay or pass them on to someone!

I don't think you're putting a dampener on demented - I said pretty much the same thing further down. But I think TC is a Mum with a Mission - to see her dd in stripey tights and pink cowboy boots, and who are we to stand (sensibly) in her way!

I know DP will think I'm mad and tell me not to, ...... she could still wear them in the summer with a little denim pinafore dress, or short dungerees................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

I'm talking myself out of them the more I go on.

I might have to ask my mum about this one!!!!!!!!!!!

If I get the shorter length ones then they'll be okay for the summer, mighten they???!!!!

I don't know if I can risk not getting them, what if noone makes them once she's walking????!!!!!!!!!!

Have to go to bed now and will be dreaming of pink cowboy boots. Sleep on it, TC. If you still feel the same in the morning then buy them - it's only money!

If you take the seasonal thing out of the equation that makes all the difference, they would be lovely in the summer too with no tights and denim, I never thought about that. Go on, go on as Mrs Doyle would say!
