I have lost my brand-new tax disc!

What can I do???? Please tell me I don't have to buy another (believe it or not, I lost in in-between dh giving me it and putting it in the car - was in a rush to work!)

I did that, I binned the old one. You have to apply for a replacement and it is about £7 hth

Did you apply online? If so, ring and tell them it never arrived. If not, I think you can get a replacement for a fee.

It costs £7 to apply for a duplicate.

thanks! no, dh bought it in person, not online. am I covered till I get replacement?

You'll be on the computer, so I don't think you will get into too much trouble while you wait for the replacement, ie won't be recognised by automatic license plate recognition cameras.
