Just wanted to check whether we've been missed out .. DS's mumps was paid for and booked for Sept 2002 .. I called a few months ago and was told we were in the next batch, but still haven't heard .. and I'd like him to have a booster round soon as he's already at pre-school

2 of my friedns have gone there - the one with a ds was given the mumps vac a year or so ago, but the one with the dd still hasn't had it, and was told that it was been given to boys in priority. They were told it was a nationwide shortage - or is it just Eltham?

Angeliz · 28/10/2004 21:58

Twiglett, i was told that dd would probably get it before Christmas, (she was due in Nov 2002 i think), we still haven't heard though!

Live in London, but have been going to clinic in Liverpool for my ds1 and 2 (massive waiting list in 2002 in London, so as I can stay with relatives in Liverpool, got the sep jabs that way).

Anyway, still waiting for ds1's mumps (due Nov 2002).

Me too. I blame the government - no seriously, I do.

ladymuck · 28/10/2004 22:13

Apparently there's an outbreak of mumps in Bromley at present (not a million miles from Eltham)...

Twiglett · 28/10/2004 22:14

well Its the governments fault .. licensing import of 25 vaccines nationally I ask you (although believe those shenanigans are over)

Just had a phone message from dh2000 re mumps... hopefully it's here. We've been waiting since 2001. I blame the labour gov - parental choice - bah.... don't get me on my soapbox!!!

Bladee · 28/10/2004 22:32

opps - meant to say... dh2000 Liverpool

jenkel · 28/10/2004 22:42

Just wanted to add, we went to the Breakspear Hospital in Hemel Hempstead and had to wait 1 year for the Mumps jab for my dd, she had it at 25 months
