I need a new vaccum cleaner! any suggestions?

Since moving house I have been lending a friends vacuum cleaner, this is now getting embarrassing and I need a new one, any suggestions, not bothered about whether its a cylinder or upright, the main consideration is very very cheap! Top limit of about £50, yes I know, last of the big spenders!

lilibet - I have a Boss vacuum cleaner by Electrolux - cheap but a good sucker! But then, I'm not really big on hoovering!!

lilibet, I did consider bidding for this myself (but won't) - there is a Kirby on ebay at the moment currently standing at £51.
Otherwise try your local paper in the domestic appliances section.
