Having just been quoted £93 for 10 days for me and DS by the BMC, does anyone have any recommendations for cheaper travel insurance? I'm looking online but I haven't heard of half the names.

TIA

I usually look at moneysupermarket.com and pick something from there. I think I've used Insure & Go, Columbus and someone called 24Hour Direct (or something similar) in the past but since I've never had to claim with any of them, couldn't say what they were like. I just make sure I get as much cover as I can in each relevant category - the price comparison websites will list what each company offers.

I find tesco insurance really good, (mainly because they insure up to 34 weeks pregnant as standard)

But I always get an annual policy.

If you do more than a few trips each year it definately works out cheaper.

Last time we paid £100 for me and DH for a years cover. (pre children.)

I can recommend one to avoid - Marks and Spencers - totally messed mine up and I had to cancel it in the end and book with Boots at the last minute (Boots was fine).

£30 through Direct Line, job done thank you all.

I would have got an annual policy, but this is just for DS and me - we'll get an annual one next year when we all go on hols (poor DH has to work!)
