i'm an ebay virgin. i just bought a book (topsy and tim's snowy day! yay!) from the site for the bargain price of £4.50 plus £2 p&P. now what i need to know is, if the book arrived today by 2nd class post (56p) in a hard-backed manila envelope which at the outside may have cost 60p, should i remark on this on the buyers' feedback form on the site? the protocol seems to be totally sycophantic, but i feel a bit cross about being ripped off a quid.

sorry, yes I meant is it a book? Have you looked on Amazon as they have nearly new too?

bakedpotato · 29/10/2004 10:28

JD, yes, it is a book. i just checked amazon but they offer a preorder for a used book -- none in stock that i could see. i've tried this before and it's come to naught

so, fingers crossed for Miss H

baked potato I am so sorry. I never went back to this so didn't see your plea. I don't know how to tell you this but its gone. Quite literally gone. I am so sorry for getting your hopes up.

bakedpotato · 31/10/2004 16:41

I don't know what you mean about Nasa but I went to get it from the bookshelf and it was gone. We recently sent a lot of stuff from the playroom to the charity shop and I fear it went with that. I konw I didn't as it was an old edition I wanted to keep it. I really am so sorry for getting yoru hopes up. Of course if I do come across it I will contact you.

bakedpotato · 31/10/2004 16:58

dear Miss H, never mind [brave sniff] -- many thanks for checking. if you look down this thread, Nasa also pitched for it before i spotted your message. i was wondering whether i had to challenge her to a bareknuckled fight for it.
