Thats fab! have you thought about applying to work on the bank as a HCA? get paid and have a lovely uniform!! My mums started today and although its all new for her shes loved it so far! You can be taught blood pressures and venepuncture if you wanted as an HCA. One of our cohort was an hca on ortho surgery. Saw lots of really useful stuff.

gothicmama · 26/10/2004 19:25

pinnies can be good. Well done, nik.

Just ring up the main hospital switchboard Nickola and ask about joining the bank as a HCA (or auxiliary nurse, my trust still calls us this, but most use the term HCA) usually no experience is required and its fanatastic experience if you want to be a nurse.

Jennisaurus · 26/10/2004 23:35

Oh and I have a rather lovely uniform thrown in for fun ;) Blue striped tunic and navy trousers or a blue striped dress. Sexy

nikcola · 26/10/2004 23:36

How did you get on??? You should have no worries just ring the human resources number, or main switch board and ask for them. Bank work means you can work when they need you and when you are free. Normally they could offer you as much as you want and to add to it if you are staying local to go to uni it will give you a great chance to speak to student nurses about there courses, branches etc.Good luck, have you done your UCAS ? Nmas application yet? Degree or diploma????

nikcola · 27/10/2004 15:11
