Any mortgage advisors give me some advice?

Me and my partner are both employed but want to relocate 400 miles away. We are currently both employed, he can transfer as works for a nation wide company and I am currently working from home and whether this will be a permanent option is still up in the air. We already own our home so will be looking to sell and buy in a chain but our new house will be 400 miles away from where we are both currently living and working.

My questions are:

Will a bank allow us to take out a mortgage for a new house 400 miles away now with our current working situation with his job being something he can transfer to when a job comes up and with mine currently working from home but still up in the air?

If they refuse working from home as a permanent option, I would have to leave and look for something down where we are moving to.

So would we be allowed to move with my partner not necessarily having a job secured but can transfer when a job comes available and would they accept I work from home even though its not necessarily permentant?

I am not a mortgage advisor

But as far as I know a mortgage lender looks at current circumstances and earnings and not the location of property you are buying so long as you are not buying a second property
