I had a lovely dinner last night at Woods in the Pantiles. Didn't take my little one so can't say what they're like with children but they did have a kids' menu and the food was lovely and not overpriced. Here's the website.

There is an amazing restaurant called Thackerys. I've only eaten there once, but it was the most delicious food I have ever eaten in my life.

Possibly more of a dinner for 2 kind of place, but I have friends who go there regularly with their 4 year old son.

Thackeray's has a michelin star! My boyfriend's promised to take me when he gets his next pay cheque. Is it one of those restaurants that make you feel uncomfortable if you're not "posh" though?!

No, when we went there the staff were lovely. Very unobtrusive, but very helpful. We went there for lunch and it was lovely and relaxed. We were noisy and laughing, but didn't feel out of place at all.

As I said, my friend goes there with their 4 year old.

It's absolutely gorgeous!

Hold your boyfriend to his promise sparklyjen!

Thanks for your help guys.... Thackerys sounds lovely BUT not sure if it will suit 2 little ones who have just been to seen the Tweenies!!! Think we will give Woods ago as the sausage and mash look fab.
Thanks again and hope you get you night out soon sparklyjen
