Does anyone shop at the White Company?

I have been given a £100 voucher for the White Company. Obviously this is great, the only problem is that I am not the sort of person that shops there at all. I love rainbows, bright colour, TK Maxx Bargains and getting value for money. I am on the website and feel like I am out of my depth looking at the prices for things... it's so expensive to me!

I just wondered if anyone shops there and could recommend a product or item that they use - e.g. is the skincare and shower gel worth the money? Or can you recommend something else that you love there? Is it the sort of place that does offers and deals at certain type of year - I have had the voucher for ages now and not seen any sale or offers yet.

I shop there quite a lot but I never buy the toiletries or skincare. Candles/room spray occasionally.

They do have sales, with good reductions if you time it right.

I tend to pick up towels, bedding, and heavily reduced random stuff in the “home accessories” section.

Also sometimes nightwear.

Spend it on Christmas shopping?

SkittlesRainbow · 21/11/2020 10:31

@ShortSilence Thanks for the tip, I was about to just buy a few shower gels and skincare assuming they would somehow transform my life Grin It sounds like waiting for a sale is my best bet and see what is on offer in the home area - hopefully something after Christmas!

Things I appreciate most from there on a day to day level are ...

the Egyptian cotton face cloths (we use a lot of face cloths in this house and they are really soft 😁)

the Orange Rind room spray, which smells gorgeous and is the only product that actually seems to clear the olfactory assault of DS’s poos without turning the air into an unholy mixture of chemical fragrance and human shit

my bedding, which was still a tiny bit pricey at 70% off but feels amazing.

AuntieMarys · 21/11/2020 10:33

I like the diffusers...Seychelles

FusionChefGeoff · 21/11/2020 10:33

I got given a pair of thick cotton PJ pants for my birthday and they are amazing. They've washed so well, don't shrink in the drier and are still my favourite pair. Big pockets too Smile

SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel · 21/11/2020 10:36

There is a website that buys peoples unwanted vouchers I think

Trumplosttheelection · 21/11/2020 10:45

The kids stuff is amazing. And the clothes are lovely if in the sale.

SkittlesRainbow · 21/11/2020 10:48

@ShortSilence haha I think we would benefit from that room spray in our house!

Wow, 70% off the bedding seems more reasonable, I thought it was pretty expensive when I looked but realise I was only looking at a pillow case Grin. To get 70% off and have some luxury bedding might be something to invest in.

@FusionChefGeoff I will have a look at the pyjamas too, they sound lovely.

@SunInTheSkyYouKnowHowIFeel I did think about selling it to someone who would appreciate it more than me, but then I don't want to seem ungrateful - normally I would send a pic of what I buy but it's been ages now and I keep thinking I need to send something soon.

I appreciate it's weird that this feels like a chore to me rather than a gift! I am sure with everyone's help I will get something I really appreciate so their generosity is not wasted.

ShortSilence · 21/11/2020 10:48

Oh and actually, my favourite ever buy from them was our Christmas tree lights. They were an extra long, extra beautiful set with dark green cable and insanely £££ normally, but they appeared in the sale two summers ago and I pounced. I think I got them for a third of the normal price (which still came to about fifty quid Blush) but they have the most beautiful warm sparkle and bring total joy.

ShortSilence · 21/11/2020 10:49

Stuff at higher discounts sells out really fast in the sales OP, so be ready Grin

SkittlesRainbow · 21/11/2020 10:53

@ShortSilence That's good to know! I will be ready and waiting...!!! I guess I can sign up to their newsletter and get the heads up.
