Is this their back door way of finding out if they can increase our council tax? Vaguely recall there was talk a few months back of putting peoples council tax up if they have nice views, had done home improvements, etc (a John Prescott scheme, I'm sure).

I like to do my bit and offer the council my views on things, when asked, but don't want to fill it out if it will land me a hefty tax increase.

that's what I heard on the radio - no-one round here is going to do it

As I thought! Some of the questions are very intrusive (household income, savings, equity etc).

It claims to be confidential, but it has an individual reference number on it, so I'm sure they can match answers to adresses.

Think I'm going to ignore it, although part of me wants to register my disapproval, for what it is worth.
