London Dungeons - too scary for 6 yr old girl

She is highly strung and very suggestable (is that a word?). She tends towards nightmares. She has been invited to a party there with other girl friends, and thinks she wants to go, but is a little unsure. I have never been, so I don't know. Anyone?

A party for 6 year olds at London Dungeons.

MUCH too scary

Too young.

Absolutely NOT suitable for a highly-strung 6 year old.

I think a brief glimpse at the advertising and website may give you your answer.

I'm 33 and it was too scary for me So is the horrors at Tussauds, even though I know the actors
Do the dungeons do a special kid-orientated thing for birthdays though, to make it less scary?

Alethiometer · 14/10/2007 15:09

They play Disney themes whilst showing them round?

No way, it's far too scary for a six-year old... she'll have nightmares for weeks.

jennifersofia · 14/10/2007 15:24

Oh goodness - thanks, will def. have a major re-think!
(party is for a girl who has been before and is a very phlegmatic sort of girl - lovely but very easy going and not really phased by things.)

God, I disliked it intensely as a young adult (early 20s?) - can't IMAGINE taking a 6 year old there, especially not a sensitive one... sorry

I actually vomited at the Dungeons as a child - not sure what age but probably older than 6! Even now tho I have a bit of a sense of humour failure over it - can't help feeling it's all too sadistic and desensitising for kids' entertainment. A friend's son recently returned from a party there brandishing a very realistic blood-covered toy knife he'd been given - none of us were very amused

yes. IMHO not for that age at all.
